September 18, 1985: Brewers (66-79) at Orioles (72-73)

Catcher Floyd Rayford connected hit a homer and had 3 RBI as the Baltimore Orioles beat the Milwaukee Brewers by a score of 9 to 6. 

Baltimore scored 7 runs in the decisive bottom of the 5th inning when they had 6 base hits. The highlight belonged to Cal Ripken who made the Baltimore fans a happy lot when he blasted a two-run home run. Baltimore banged out 9 hits on the night. 

Dennis Martinez(13-9) allowed 5 runs in 6 innings, and picked up the victory. Sammy Stewart was credited with his 5th save. Danny Darwin(13-16) absorbed the loss. Baltimore knocked him around a bit, as he gave up 8 runs in 4 and 2/3 innings. 

With this win, Baltimore has a 72-73 record. They have been 3-7 lately. With the loss Milwaukee now has a record of 66-79.
