September 18, 1985: Pirates (65-80) at Expos (70-75)

Scot Thompson had 3 base hits and 3 RBI as the Montreal Expos topped the Pittsburgh Pirates by a score of 9 to 6 at OLYMPIC STADIUM. 

Montreal jumped on top of Pittsburgh in the bottom of the 6th inning as they scored 2 runs on 3 base hits. The biggest moment was provided by Vance Law who made the home-town crowd a happy bunch when he ripped a one-base hit bringing in two baserunners. Montreal out-hit Pittsburgh for the game, 14 hits to 10. 

The win was credited to Joe Hesketh(14-8) who went 7 innings allowing 5 runs. Gary Lucas got the save, his 1st. Rick Reuschel(19-7) was the losing pitcher. He was knocked around, surrendering 6 runs in 5 and 2/3 innings.
