1985 NLCS Game 4: Mets (2-2) at Dodgers (2-2)

Dwight Gooden struck out 10 batters at DODGER STADIUM where the New York Metsbeat the Los Angeles Dodgers in 11 innings by the score of 5 to 4. 

 The score was knotted at 4 after nine innings. New York won the game in the 11th inning. George Foster delivered a base-hit. Howard Johnson was next and he drew a walk. Rafael Santana then laced a single to load the bases. After another out, Mookie Wilson came to bat and hit a deep fly scoring the run. Los Angeles was retired without difficulty in the bottom of the 11th. 

Roger McDowell(1-0) got the win allowing no runs in 1 and 2/3 innings. Jesse Orosco recorded his 1st save. Tom Niedenfuer(0-2) suffered the loss in relief. He allowed 1 run and 2 hits in 1 inning.
