1985 ALCS Game 4: Blue Jays (4-0) at Royals (0-4)

Series MVP Damaso Garcia had 3 base hits as the Toronto Blue Jays defeated the Kansas City Royals by a score of 5 to 4 at ROYALS STADIUM. 

Toronto had 3 runs cross the plate in the top of the 5th inning when they had 3 base hits. Willie Upshaw started the inning off right when he drew a walk. After an out was recorded, Jesse Barfield stepped up to the plate and he stroked a base-hit. Barfield took second on the throw. Tony Fernandez then slapped a single knocking home two runners. Fernandez took second on the throw. Garcia came up and he stroked a one-base hit scoring the final run of the inning. Toronto managed 10 hits in their victory. 

The victory was credited to Dave Stieb(2-0) who went 7 innings, allowing 4 runs. Stieb got help from Tom Henke who was credited with his 3rd save. Bret Saberhagen(0-2) was given the loss. He was unable to control the Toronto offense and allowed 9 hits and 3 walks in 6 and 1/3 innings.
