October 5, 1985: A's (69-92) at Royals (89-71)

Frank White ripped 2 homeruns and had 3 RBI as the Kansas City Royals defeated the Oakland Athletics by the score of 4 to 3 at ROYALS STADIUM.

White made sure the Kansas City fans enjoyed themselves. He clubbed a solo home run in the 1st inning and popped a two-run clout over the fence in the 3rd inning. Oakland made it exciting in the 9th, but they were unable to push the needed runs across.

The win was credited to Mark Gubicza(11-12) who went 8 innings allowing 2 runs. Dan Quisenberry was credited with his 34th save. Tim Birtsas(10-7) was hit with the loss.
