April 9, 1985 Game 13: White Sox at Brewers

Tom Seaver was dominant today. He kept the Brewer hitters off balance all game. He was mixing pitches and changed speeds all game. The Brewers had no answer for him. Paul Molitor stated in a post game interview that was the best he had ever seen Seaver pitch. The White Sox scored in the 4th when Harold Baines went yard with no one on. Baines would help his team again in the 6th with a 2-Run homer. The White Sox would add one more in the 9th when Marc Hill would Single home Greg Walker to put the White Sox up 4-0. Seaver would again shut down the Brewers in the 9th to get the complete game Shutout. Tony LaRussa was excited after the game "This was one of the best pitched games I have seen. Tom had control of his pitches and hit the corners. I am happy that we started off the year with a win."
