The scoring started in the bottom of the 1st when Eddie Murray Tripled home Cal Ripken with 2 outs. Making it 1-0 Orioles. The Rangers answered back in the Top of the 4th, Duane Walker Singled home Gary Ward, A few batters later Wayne Tolleson would score on a Pete O'Brien Sac Fly. But the Orioles would explode for 6 runs in the bottom of the 4th on 3 Home Runs. Floyd Rayford hit a 2-Run shot then Rick Dempsey hit a Solo Homer for the back to back. Eddie Murray would also add a 3-Run homer in the inning. At the end of 4 the score was 7-2 Orioles. The Orioles would add 2 more in the 5th on a RBI Double for Ripken and a Single by Murray. At the end of 5 it was 9-2 Orioles. The Rangers were not done yet though as they scored 6 in the 7th. Pete O'Brien pulled the Rangers within a with a Grand Slam off Mike Boddicker. at the end of 7 it was 9-8 Orioles. The Orioles would add 2 more in the 8th on a Fred Lynn 2-Run Homer, making the score 11-8. The Rangers would fight back in the 9th as they tagged Orioles closer Don Aase for 3 runs in the 9th. The Orioles went easily in the 9th forcing the game to go into extra innings. The Rangers scored 1 in the Top of the 10th Thanks to a lead off Double by Wayne Tolleson and he would be driven in by a Larry Parrish Single. The Orioles would go down 1-2-3 in the bottom of the 10th amking the Rangers winners. Eddie Murray missed hitting for the Cycle as all he need was a Double.
