April 12, 1985 Game 33: Angels (1-2) at A's (1-2)

The Angels and A's were each looking to get to .500 in the early part of the season. The Angels would put Rafael Lugo up against Don Sutton. Lugo earned the Angles lone win in a relief appearence.

The Angels would give Lugo the early lead on Doug DeCinces 1st HR of the season. The A's would answer back in the 4th Heath would hit a double in the left center gap scoring Murphy and Kingman, a Davis single would score Baker and Heath. Score is now 4-1.

The Angels would tie it up in the 5th. Carew would single scoring Jones and Schofield and Downing would hit into a 6-4 FC and Pettis would score.

The Angels would take the lead in 6th when Jones would double home Jackson and a Pettis single would score Grich. The Angles lead 6-5. That would be all for Sutton as he struggled with his command.

Donnie Moore would come in the 8th for Lugo and give up a run to make the score 6-5. He would then close out the 9th for his 1st save. Lugo has both wins for the Angles.
