April 12, 1985 Game 35: Twins (2-1) at Mariners (2-1)

The Twins and Mariners would battle for 1st place in the west. Ken Schrom would pitch for the Twins and Matt Young for the Mariners.

Tom Brunansky's 2-run HR would get the Twins on the board in the 1st and at the end of 1 it was 2-0 Twins. They would get another run in the 3rd Brunanky would double and that would score Hatcher and the Twins lead 3-0. The Mariners would close the gap with a Bradley single that would score Kearney. It's now 3-1 Twins.

In the 6th Twins would get a run when Dave Engle homered off of Young to make the score 4-1 Twins. The Mariners would answer back in the bottom half of the inning . Presley would single scoring Thomas. It's now 4-2 Twins.

THe teams would exchange runs again in the 7th. Meier would double scoring Laudner for the Twins. Making it 5-2. Bradley would score on a Laudner passed ball, score os now 5-3 Twins.

The Twins would score again in the 8th. Teufel would hit a fly to right that would be deep enough to score Gagne. Score is now 6-3. Davis would work the 9th earning his 2nd save.
