April 14, 1985 Game 54: Blue Jays (3-2) at Orioles (1-3)

Doyle Alexander would give 25,111 Oriole fans a treat today and they did not want it, Alexander was able to scatter 8 hits and 2 BB over 9 innings and the Oriole offense was unable to score a run. Alexander was able to bear down whenever he got into trouble and was able to get out of any threats unscathed. MIke Boddicker was not quite as lucky. The Blue Jays hit him hard and he would surrender 5 runs in 7 innings.

The Blue Jays scored 3 in the 2nd. Whitt would double and that would score Upshaw and the Barfield would hit a 3 run HR to make it 3-0 Blue Jays. They would get 2 more in the 3rd to make it 5-0. A Bell single would score Mulliniks and Moseby and it is now 5-0.

The Orioles suffered another key injury as Dempsey would be out for 6 games, he would join Murray on the DL.
