April 15, 1985 Game 68: Reds (2-3) at Braves (2-3)

In the first of three games at Fulton County Stadium between the Reds and the Braves. THe Reds would send John Stuper to the hill and the Braves would start Pascual Perez. The Braves have gotten a great start out of Dale Murphy, but they need Bob Horner to start hitting.

The Reds would score in the 1st on a Parker single that would score Davis to make it 1-0. In the 6th the Reds would make it 2-0 as Redus would hit a Perez fastball in to the centerfield bleachers. In the 7th Davis would take Garber deep to make it 4-0 Reds.

Stuper was cuising along until the 9th when he finally runs out of gas and the Braves take advantage by scoring 2. Perry took a Stuper fastball and crushed it toward South America and it now 4-1 Braves. Harper would pinch hit for Garber and would single scoring Cerone. John Franco would come in with runners on 1st and 3rd and get Washington to bounce into a 1-6-3 doubleplay and earn for his 2nd save.

Pascual Perez would leave the game after the 6th and might miss his next start. He was solid though he struck out 7 in 6 IP.
