April 15, 1985 Game 75: Expos (2-3) Cardinals (3-2)

42,986 crammed into Busch Stadium to watch the Cardinals and the Expos. Bill Gullickson would take on Bob Forsch and they would not be disappointed.  This would turn out to be a great game.

IN the 3rd the Expos would get on the board. Dawson would double scoring Raines.  Francona would single, Webster and Dawson would score and it is now 3-0 Expos.

Bill Gullickson would have a shutout going until he would run into a lot of trouble in the 9th. Pendleton would lead off with a lineout to Brooks, McGee would single and steal 2nd.  Clark would single and that would score McGee. Up next Braun would groundout to second.  There are now 2 outs and with a runner on 1st.  Van Slyke would come and tattoo one into the rightfield seats and the game is now tied at 3.  Nieto would would popout to short to end the inning, The game is now tied at 3.

The game would head to extras and Dayley and Schatzeder are now the pitchers.  In the bottom of the 10th Smith would lead off with a single and then get gunned down by Fitzgerald.  Dayley would single and Herr would flyout to left.  Pendleton would single and Dayley would hold at 3rd.  McGee would double and that would score Dayley and the game would be over.
