April 16, 1985 Game 85: Giants (3-3) at Padres (3-3)

Both teams were looking to get above .500 and 26,547 were hoping it would be their beloved Padres.
Dave LaPoint would go for the Giants and Andy Hawkins for the Padres.

in the 1st the Padres would draw first blood. Flannery would leadoff with a triple and Garvey would hit a SACFLY to Davis and Flannery would score. The Giants would take the lead ion the 3rd. LaPoint would hit a triple and would score on a Gladden triple. Trillo would hit a SACFLY to Martinez and that would score Gladden.

The Giants would add to their lead in the 4th. Brown would single and Uribe would follow that with a single. LaPoint misses the pitch on the sac and Brown would be thrown out at 3rd, Uribe would advance to 2nd. LaPoint would then groundout to 1st and Uribe advances to 3rd. Gladden singles scoring Uribe. The Padres would get the lead back in the bottom half on a Martinez 3-run Homer. The Giants get the lead back for good in the 6th on a 2-run Homer by Brown.
