May 3, 1985 Game 276: Giants (9-11) at Cardinals (13-7)

The Cardinals have been a little off the last few games.  Whitey Herzog blasted his team in a post game interview.  Maybe it would be the motivation they would need to get back on track.

In the 1st Landrum doubles with 1-out. Clark singles scoring him.  McGee is safe on 2nd due to Brenly's throwing error and Clark scores to make it 2-0 Cardinals.  In the 2nd The Ginats get a run back.  With Davis on 2nd Driessen rips a single to right and Davis scored to make it 2-1.

In the 3rd Clark hits a solo homer to give the Cardinals a 3-1 lead.  The Giants make it 3-2 on Browns solo homerun.  The Cardinals put this game in the 7th.  Coleman doubles and waould score on Landrums single.  Herr then hits a 2 run homer and Clark adds another homer to make it 7-2.  In the 8th Youngblood homers to make it 7-3 and that would be all for the Giants.

The Final Score 7-3 Cardinals
