May 4, 1985 Game 278: Brewers (13-9) at Angels (15-9)

It was a hit parade at the Big A.  These two teams would bust out the big bats and pound out 24 hits.  The Angels defense would commit 3 errors that would ultimately decide the game.

In the 1st with two outs Cooper is safe at first on Schofields error, Yount walks, Simmons singles scoring Cooper and the Brewers lead 1-0.  The Angels tie it up in the bottom of xthe 1st on Grich's 2-out solo homerun.

In the 2nd the Brewers take a 4-1 lead on Molitors 3 run homer off of Witt.  The Brewers increase their lead in the 3rd.  Simmons singles, Gantner singles and advances to 3rd On Hendricks error and Simmons scores.  Riles would follow him with a triple and Gantner scores and the Brewers are up 6-1. The angels get 1 back in the 3rd when with runners on 1st and 2nd, DeCinces singles and Grich scores to make it 6-2

The Angels mount their comeback in the bottom of the 4th.  Schofield sinlges, Carew singles and is safe at 2nd on Riles's error scoring Schofield.  Grich singles, Downing singles scoring Carew and it is now 6-4.  Fingers works the 9th for his 7th save.
