The Mets tie it up in the 2nd. Johnson singles with runners on 1st and 2nd and Foster comes around to make it a 1-1 game.In the 4th Zuvella with the bases loaded bounces into a 6-4 FC and the Mets allow Murphy to score to gave the Braves a 2-1 lead. In the 7th the Braves add to their lead. Ramirez doubles scoring Camp, Murphy doubles scoring Ramirez and it is now a 4-1 Braves lead.
That would not be safe as the Mets mount a comeback in the 9th and Bruce Sutter would not be able to stop them. The Mets have runners on 2nd and 3rd and Backman delivers a double clearing the bases. Heep singles scoring Backman to tie the game. Johnson comes up with a 2-out single scoring Heep and the Mets win.
