May 8, 1985 Game 324: Orioles (8-16) at Royals (11-13)

The Royals take on the lowly Orioles today.  The Orioles do send their ace to the mound in Scott McGregor and the Royals send Danny Jackson to the hill.  These two would square off in a good ole fashion pitchers dual.  It was such a great match up that this game would go into extra innings.

In the 2nd with the bases loaded Wiggins bounces into a 6-4-3 douplelay and that lets Lynn score and the Orioles are up 1-0.  It would stayt that way until the 8th when with runners on 1st aand 3rd, Wilson hits a deep fly to center.  Wathan tags up and scores easily and the game is now tied at 1.

It would stay tied at 1 until the 11th.  Lynn hits his 8th homer of the season and the Orioles lead it now 2-1.  The Orioles bring in Aase and he has been horrible in save situations.  The Royals have runners on 1st and 2nd with 2 outs. McRae doubles scoring Wilson.  Balboni also doubles scoring Brett and that gives the Royals a 3-2 lead and the Royals win

The Final Score 3-2 Royals
