May 10, 1985 Game 336: Twins (12-14) at Orioles (8-17)

The Orioles are one of the worst teams in baseball and the Twins are almost to .500.  The Orioles would be let down by their bullpen as they would have a 3-1 lead going into the 7th.  Dennis Martinez get the start for the Orioles and Frank Viola for the Twins.

The Orioles put up a 3 spot in the 1st on Shelby's 2-out 3 run homer and it is a 3-0 game.  That is what the score would remain until the 6th with the bases loaded and 2 outs Gaetti delivers a single that would score Hrbek and end Martinez's day.  Snell would get the next hitter out and the threat is over.

But it would all fall apart for the Orioles in the 7th.  Engle doubles, Hatcher doubles with 2-outs and Engle scores.  Snell walks Hrbek.  Brunansky then hits a 3 run homer to give the Twins a 5-3 lead.  Davis will pitch the 9th for the Twins and pick up his 6th save.

The Final Score 5-3 Twins
