May 11, 1985 Game 351: A's (13-16) at Red Sox (17-11)

It is a beautiful day at Fenway Park to as the Red Sox take on the A's.  Bruce Hurst gets the start for the Red Sox and Chris Codiroli for the A's.  

In the 1st Rice hits a solo homer to give the Red Sox a 1-0 lead.  In the 4th the A's take the lead,  Murphy scores on a wild pitch and Kingman scores on a Davis single and the A's have a 2-1 lead.

The A's increase their lead in the 5th.  Henderson doubles, Griffin bunts him over to 3rd.  Lansford hits a dribbler back to Hurst who can't pick it and is charged an error and that allows Henderson to score and it is now 3-1.

The Red Sox tie it up in the 6th on Armas's 1-out 2 run homer to make it 3-3.  Then in the 8th Rice hits a 2 run shot off of Codiroli and the Red Sox have a 5-3 lead.  Stanley closes out the 9th for his 9th save.
