May 13, 1985 Game 380: Expos (14-15) at Astros (10-19)

It's the Astros taking on the Expos at the Astrodome and the Astros send Bob Knepper to the to the rubber and Joe Hesketh gets the start for the Expos.

The Expos open the scoring in the 3rd.  They have runners on 2nd and 3rd and Law grounds out to 2nd and that scores Fitzgerald.  Wallach singles scoring Raines and it is 2-0 Expos.  They add to their lead in the 4th.  Brooks doubles and Frobel delivers a 2-out single that would score Brooks and it is now 3-0 Expos.

The Astros pick up a couple of runs in the 6th.  THey have runners on the corners and Walling hits a SACFLY to right that scores Knepper.  Mumphrey hits a double to put runners at 2nd and 3rd.  A wild pitch by Hesketh scores Bass and it is now a 3-2 Expos lead.

The Astros take the lead in the 7th when Bass hits a 2-out 3 run homer to make it 5-3.  Walling and Cruz follow with singles, then Mumphrey doubles again scoring Walling and it is now 6-3.  The Astros add an insurance run in the 8th.  Doran draws a bases loaded walk, Bailey trots home and it is 7-3.

New closer Jeff Calhoun comes in in non save situation, but the Expos have plans for him.  They have runners on 1st and 2nd, Fitzgerald singles scoring Brooks.  Webster then hits a pinch hit SACFLY to left and that scores Frobel.  That would not be enough to take this game from the Astros.
