May 15, 1985 Game 401: A's (13-19) at Brewers (18-12)

The Brewers have been able to stay in the thick of things so far and today looks like it will be an easy win as Danny Darwin takes the mound.  The A's are struggling of late and the send Bill Krueger out to get a win.

The A's take the lead in the 5th on a Davis solo homer to give the A's a 1-0.  The Brewers take the lead in the 7th.  They have runner on 1st and 2nd Simmons triples scoring both runners.  Riles then laces a single to score Simmons and the Brewers have a 3-1 lead.  The Brewers bring in Fingers to close it out.  But the A's have plans.  With runners on 1st and 2nd, Griffin singles to score Heath to cut the lead to 3-2.  But Fingers get out of further trouble for his 10th save.

The Final Score 3-2 Brewers
