May 18, 1985 Game 429: Cubs (18-14) at Braves (12-21)

Steve Trout (3-4) got some help from the double play today.  He gave up 9 hits in 8 innings pitched, but he was able to induce 3 double plays.  He allowed only 1 run.  Rick Camp (1-3) was good tonight but not enough to win.  He gave up 3 runs in 7.2 innings.

The Cubs offense picked it's spot and got single runs in the 1st, 3rd, 6th, and the 9th.  Sandberg hit his 7th homer of the season and Dale Murphy went 3-4.

Davey Lopes was robbed of a HR in the 5th when he hit a towering flyball to left and Terry Harper leaps high over the wall to pull it back for the out.  Lopes was robbed again in the 8th by Dale Murphy.  Lopes crushed one to center and Murphy jumped high onto the wall a reeled it back in.

The Final Score 4-1 Cubs
