May 21, 1985 Game 471: Astros (14-24) at Pirates (15-21)

Bob Knepper (6-2) threw a 5 hit shutout against the Pirates at Three Rivers Stadium today.  Chuck Tanner gave Jason Thompson and Mike Brown the day off and that may have contributed to the loss.

The Astros would get a run in the 6th when Denny Walling singled home Jerry Mumphrey, who was safe at 3rd on a R.J. Reynolds error.  Glenn Davis made it 2-0 with his 7th homerun of the season.  Don Robinson made a spot start for the struggling Rick Rhoden and pitched 8 innings of 2 run baseball.  He takes the loss and is (0-2) on the season.
