June 4, 1985: Twins (24-25) at Blue Jays (30-20)

It was a great finish at EXHIBITION STADIUM as the Toronto Blue Jays pulled off a dramatic comeback beating the Minnesota Twins by the count of 6 to 5. 

Toronto came through with the game-winning runs in the bottom of the 9th inning with 2 runs on 3 hits. After an out was recorded, Ernie Whitt got things going when he doubled. Damaso Garcia came next and he ripped a single. Garcia swiped second base. After another out, George Bell stepped in and he doubled giving Toronto the victory and sending the 45,752 home-town fans home happy. Toronto had 11 hits for the game and Minnesota had 7. 

Jim Acker(1-0) was the winner allowing no runs in 1/3 of an inning. Ron Davis(0-2) was tagged with the loss in relief. He allowed 2 runs and 3 hits in 2/3 of an inning.
