June 10, 1985: Mets ( 33-21) at Phillies (21-33)

In a thrilling finish the Philadelphia Phillies won in dramatic fashion coming back to beat the New York Mets by the count of 7 to 6. 

Philadelphia scored the decisive runs in a big 9th inning when they tallied 4 runs on 3 hits. The key offensive moment was provided by Von Hayes who elicited a roar from the hometown fans when he doubled bringing in two baserunners. Philadelphia had 11 hits for the night. 

The victory was credited to Jerry Koosman(2-3) who went 2 innings, allowing no runs. The loss was charged to Jesse Orosco(2-1) in relief. 

'What a game!,' Koosman said afterward. 'When we won it I almost couldn't believe it!'
