June 10, 1985: Brewers (25-29) at Red Sox (34-21)

In a close game it was the Boston Red Sox 8, the Milwaukee Brewers 6 at FENWAY PARK. 

Boston came up with the deciding runs in the bottom of the 8th inning when they scored 4 runs on 4 hits. The biggest moment was provided by Wade Boggs who made the crowd happy when he doubled bringing home two baserunners. Despite losing, Milwaukee out-hit Boston 15 to 11. 

Bob Stanley(2-0) picked up the victory, allowing 1 run in 2 innings. Rollie Fingers(1-3) was given the loss in relief. Cecil Cooper ripped 2 homeruns and had 5 RBI for Milwaukee but his effort was wasted in the loss.
