June 10, 1985: Orioles (27-27) at Tigers (33-21)

Catcher Rick Dempsey slammed a homerun and had 3 RBI as the Baltimore Orioles came back to win one over Detroit Tigers, 7 to 6. 

Baltimore had the winning rally in the top of the 9th inning scoring 2 runs using 2 hits. After an out was recorded, Alan Wiggins got things rolling when he lined a base-hit. After another out, Cal Ripken stepped up to the plate and he clubbed a two-run home run. Eddie Murray got his chance to keep things going, but he went down on strikes. Overall Baltimore out-hit Detroit 11 to 7. 

Mike Flanagan(3-0) was the winner allowing no runs in 1 inning. Flanagan got help from Don Aase who was credited with his 5th save. Willie Hernandez(0-2) was the loser in relief. 

'I pin this one on my own shoulders,' Hernandez said. 'The bottom line is I didn't get the job done. Our fans deserve better than this.'
