June 7, 1985: Dodgers (34-19) at Braves (20-30)

Mike Marshall knocked 2 homeruns and had 5 RBI as the Los Angeles Dodgers crushed the Atlanta Braves 17 to 3.

Marshall really lit it up for Los Angeles. The Atlanta fans let him have it for what he did to their boys. He smashed a two-run homer in the 3rd inning, delivered a base-hit which brought home a run in the 7th inning and cracked a two-run shot in the 9th inning. Los Angeles provided plenty of action in the 3rd inning which saw them score 5 runs on 5 hits and the 9th inning with 7 runs on 7 hits. Los Angeles dominated offensively as they scored in 6 different innings.

The victory went to Jerry Reuss(7-3) who went 8 innings, allowing 3 runs. The losing pitcher was Rick Mahler(5-5). He allowed a few too many baserunners giving up 8 hits and 3 walks in 3 innings.
