Vern Ruhle(4-2) earned his pay with a solid performance for Cleveland. He went 8 innings and surrended up 9 hits and 1 walk and surrendered 2 'round-trippers'. Cleveland managed 11 hits in their victory. 

Jim Beattie(3-4) was given the loss. He got hammered, allowing 7 hits and 3 walks in 3 and 2/3 innings.
