June 7, 1985: Red Sox (32-20) at Orioles (25-26)

Tippy Martinez delivered 4 solid innings as the Baltimore Orioles defeated the Boston Red Sox in 14 innings by the score of 2 to 1 at MEMORIAL STADIUM. 

Both teams had scored 1 runs after nine full innings. Baltimore came out on top in the 14th inning. After an out was recorded, Fritz Connally drew a walk. Floyd Rayford followed next and he lined a one-base hit. After another out, Alan Wiggins then drew a walk to load the bases. Lee Lacy was up next and he ripped a base-hit making Baltimore the victors to the delight of the home town faithful. Boston out-hit Baltimore 13 to 9, but Baltimore ended up with more runs. 

Don Aase(1-2) picked up the victory, allowing no runs in 2 innings. Bruce Kison(1-2) was given the loss in relief. He pitched 1 inning allowing 2 hits and 2 walks.
