June 9, 1985: Giants (20-33) at Astros (23-31)

Mike Scott went 8 solid innings as the Houston Astros defeated the San Francisco Giants by the score of 4 to 1 at The Astrodome. 

Houston did all of it's offensive work in the 4th inning when they scored 4 runs on 2 hits. The key offensive moment was provided by Kevin Bass who electrified ASTRODOME when he doubled bringing home two baserunners. Houston managed 7 hits in their victory. 

Scott(3-5) went 8 innings allowing 1 run for the victory. Scott got help from Dave Smith who earned his 10th save. Vida Blue(1-9) was given the loss. He was the victim of a defensive lapse and did not allow an earned run in the game.
