June 9, 1985: Rangers (25-30) at A's (21-34) Game 2

The Oakland Athletics pitching staff was overwhelmed by the Texas Rangers lineup who plated 18 runs while Dickie Noles(2-4), with relief help from Dave Stewart, allowed Oakland 4 runs. 

Pete O'Brien had a big day at the plate. He depressed the partisan hometown fans with a grand slam home run in the 4th inning and doubled scoring two baserunners in the 6th inning. Texas bats were hot in the 2nd inning when they had 4 runs on 5 hits, the 4th inning plating 4 runs and the 6th inning which saw them score 6 runs on 7 hits. Texas dominated offensively as they scored in 6 different innings. 

Stewart preserved the game for Noles, recording his his 1st save. Steve McCatty(1-3) was tagged with the loss. He was knocked around by Texas, allowing 8 hits and 3 walks in 4 innings.
