June 10, 1985: Giants (21-33) at Braves (21-32)

Scott Garrelts went 3 and one third strong innings at FULTON CTY STADIUM where the San Francisco Giants beat the Atlanta Braves 12 to 9.

Garrelts(4-2) came through for Jim Davenport with an excellent relief stint. No one was able to reach base in his 3 and 1/3 innings. This was a game of many highs and lows for the home town fans, as the lead kept changing - 6 times in all.

Mark Davis gained credit for his 8th save. Steve Shields(1-2) was hit with the loss in relief. He allowed 3 runs and 6 hits in 3 innings. Atlanta had something cooking in the bottom of the 9th when Dale Murphy led off with a walk and then Bob Horner would double, but Terry Harper would hit a screaming line drive that Chris Brown speared catching the runners off base and would turn the Triple play to end the game.
