June 11, 1985: Cardinals (34-22) at Pirates (22-32)

Jack Clark hit 2 doubles and had 2 RBI as the St. Louis Cardinals bested the Pittsburgh Pirates 8 to 7 at THREE RIVERS STADIUM.

St. Louis erupted with the game winning runs in the 8th inning with 2 runs on 2 hits. Vince Coleman led off and got things going when he drew a walk. Coleman was running on the next pitch and he stole second. Willie McGee got his turn next, but he was a strikeout victim. One out later, Clark came to bat and doubled. Cesar Cedeno stepped into the box and doubled. A wild and woolly affair, this game saw the lead change 5 times.

John Tudor(8-2) got the win allowing 6 runs in 8 innings. Jeff Lahti earned the save, his 11th. Al Holland(0-1) was the loser in relief.
