Alvin Davis slammed a homerun and had 3 RBI at The Kingdome as the Seattle Mariners beat the Chicago White Sox 5 to 3. 

Mark Langston(4-6) pitched well for Seattle in their victory. He surrendered 5 hits and 5 walks in 6 and 1/3 innings. Seattle had only 5 hits for the night. 

Edwin Nunez got the save, his 14th. Floyd Bannister(3-8) suffered the loss. Seattle now has a record of 28-29. Chicago has a record of 24-30 after the loss.
