June 15, 1985: Padres (37-24) at Giants (24-35)

Tony Gwynn had 5 hits and 3 RBI and Dave Dravecky went the distance at CANDLESTICK PARK where the San Diego Padres beat the San Francisco Giants 9 to 2. 

San Diego promptly took the lead in their half of the first scoring 2 runs on 2 base hits. After an out was recorded, Gwynn was the sparkplug when he laced a one-base hit. Steve Garvey came to the plate and cleared the fences for a two-run home run. Carmelo Martinez then drew a walk. After another out, Kevin McReynolds got his chance to keep things going, but he went down on strikes. San Diego banged out 15 hits on the afternoon. 

The victory was credited to Dravecky(8-3) who went the distance, allowing 2 runs. Dave Lapoint(4-7) suffered the loss. He was knocked around by San Diego, allowing 8 hits and 2 walks in 3 innings.
