June 15, 1985: Tigers (35-23) at Yankees (31-27)

Willie Randolph had 3 base hits as the New York Yankees won at YANKEE STADIUM in dramatic fashion over the Detroit Tigers, the final score, 3 to 2. 

The game was won by New York with a run in the bottom of the 9th inning. Don Baylor laced a one-base hit. Randolph followed and he hit a single. Randolph took second on the throw. Mike Pagliarulo then delivered a single giving New York the win much to the delight of the home town crowd. New York managed 10 hits in their victory. 

Dennis Rasmussen(4-3) was the winner allowing no runs in 2 and 1/3 innings. Walt Terrell(6-5) was the losing pitcher. He pitched 8 and 1/3 innings giving up 9 hits and 1 walk.
