June 16, 1985: Padres (38-25) at Giants (25-36) Game 2

In game two of the double header, third baseman Chris Brown hit one over the fence and had 3 RBI as the San Francisco Giants defeated the San Diego Padres by a score of 8 to 3 at CANDLESTICK PARK. 

Brown enjoyed a fine day at the plate. He ripped a solo home run in the 3rd inning and tripled bringing in two baserunners in the 4th inning. San Francisco managed 9 hits in their victory. 

Atlee Hammaker(7-3) went 6 innings allowing 1 run for the win. Hammaker got relief help from Greg Minton who gained credit for his 1st save. Mark Thurmond(4-1) was the loser.
