June 16, 1985: Padres (38-24) at Giants (24-36) Game 1

In the first game of the double header, Lamarr Hoyt hurled a fine complete game shutout and second baseman Tim Flannery had 3 base hits as the San Diego Padres bested the San Francisco Giants 6 to 0 at CANDLESTICK PARK. 

Hoyt(6-6) was solid in the win. He didn't allow much, just 7 hits and 2 walks in 9 innings lowering his ERA to 2.80. San Diego banged out 11 hits on the afternoon. 

Mike Krukow(2-9) was tagged with the loss. San Diego scored big getting 6 runs off him in 5 innings.
