June 17, 1985: Padres (39-25) at Dodgers (37-25)

In a tight game it was the San Diego Padres 4, the Los Angeles Dodgers 2 at DODGER STADIUM. 

San Diego brought 2 runs across the plate in the top of the 6th inning when they came up with 3 base hits. Al Bumbry led off and he singled. Two outs later Tim Flannery came up and he smacked a single. Flannery took second on the throw. Tony Gwynn then banged out a single. San Diego had 11 hits for the game and Los Angeles had 8. 

Eric Show(10-5) got credit for the victory, pitching 8 innings and allowing 2 runs. Goose Gossage recorded his 14th save. Jerry Reuss(7-4) was hit with the loss. He got hammered, allowing 10 hits and 2 walks in 5 and 2/3 innings.
