June 20, 1985: Giants (27-38) at Padres (42-25)

Tony Gwynn had 4 hits and Lamarr Hoyt went the distance as the San Diego Padres won at JACK MURPHY STADIUM in dramatic fashion over the San Francisco Giants, the final score, 3 to 2

The game was decided in the bottom of the 9th inning. After an out was recorded, Tim Flannery drew a walk. Gwynn came to the plate and ripped a one-base hit. Mike Krukow then let one slip out of his hand for a wild pitch making San Diego the victors to the delight of the home town faithful. San Diego banged out 11 hits on the afternoon. 

Hoyt(7-6) allowed 2 runs on the game. Krukow(2-10) was the loser. He was touched for 11 hits and 4 walks in 8 and 2/3 innings.
