June 21, 1985: Braves (21-44) at Reds (34-32)

40,429 fans watched an exciting game at RIVERFRONT STADIUM. The Cincinnati Reds topped the reeling Atlanta Braves by the slimmest of margins, 2 to 1 in the second game of a day, night double header. 

The game was won by Cincinnati with a run in the bottom of the 8th inning. Dave Parker ripped a single. Two outs later Ron Oester stepped up to the plate and he delivered a single. Cincinnati banged out 10 hits on the night. 

The win was credited to Mario Soto(10-5) who went 8 innings allowing 1 run. John Franco preserved the game for Soto, recording his his 14th save. Terry Forster(0-1) was the loser in relief. He gave up 1 run and 2 hits in 2 innings.  Atlanta has now lost 13 in a row.
