Center fielder Robin Yount had 4 hits and 2 RBI as the Milwaukee Brewers defeated the Baltimore Orioles in 13 innings 10 to 9 at COUNTY STADIUM. 

The score was knotted at 8 after nine innings. Milwaukee was victorious in the 13th inning. After two outs Ben Oglivie drew a walk. Earnest Riles next to the plate and he drew a walk. Jim Gantner then doubled making Milwaukee the victors to the delight of the home town faithful. Milwaukee lit up the scoreboard in the 3rd inning which saw them score 3 runs on 3 hits. A wild and woolly affair, this game saw the lead change 5 times. 

Bob McClure(2-0) went 3 innings allowing 1 run for the win. Dennis Martinez(8-5) took the loss in relief.
