June 22, 1985: Pirates (26-39) at Phillies (25-40)

Mike Schmidt homered and had 3 RBI as the Philadelphia Phillies beat the Pittsburgh Pirates by a score of 10 to 5. 

Philadelphia jumped on top to stay in the 5th inning with 2 runs using 3 hits. Rick Schu got things going when he delivered a base-hit. Derrel Thomas stepped up next and he popped a two-run clout over the fence. After an out was recorded, Jeff Stone then ripped a single. Philadelphia banged out 11 hits on the night. 

The win was credited to Steve Carlton(7-3) who went 7 and 2/3 innings allowing 5 runs. Lee Tunnell(2-7) was charged with the loss. He allowed 5 hits and 1 walk in 5 innings.
