June 23, 1985: Angels (29-38) at White Sox (30-35)

Mike Witt threw a complete game shutout and catcher Bob Boone hit a homerun as the California Angels defeated the Chicago White Sox by the score of 3 to 0 at COMISKEY PARK. 

Witt(5-6) was in control of the game from the outset. He didn't allow much, just 6 hits and 3 walks in 9 innings lowering his ERA from 4.71 to 4.32. California totaled 7 hits on the afternoon. 

Tom Seaver(8-6) was charged with the loss. He gave up 3 runs and 6 hits in 8 innings.
