June 24, 1985: Rangers (33-36) at Mariners (35-34)

The Seattle Mariners defeated the Texas Rangers by a score of 5 to 2 at The Kingdome. 

Texas was unable to climb back into it after Seattle went ahead for good in the 6th inning when they tallied 2 runs on 3 hits. The critical plate appearance was by Spike Owen who made the Seattle fans a happy lot when he tripled bringing in two baserunners. Seattle had 10 hits for the night while Texas had 7. 

Bill Swift(2-5) went 5 and 1/3 innings allowing 1 run for the win. The losing pitcher was Dickie Noles(4-5). He allowed 3 runs and 7 hits in 6 innings.
