June 26, 1985: Braves (22-47) at Astros (33-37)

In a tight game it was the Houston Astros 4, the Atlanta Braves 2 at Colt Stadium. 

Houston tallied 3 runs in the bottom of the 7th inning with the help of 6 hits. Bill Doran opened up the inning nicely when he ripped a one-base hit. Craig Reynolds stepped up to the plate and he banged out a single. Terry Puhl then lined a base-hit bringing in a run. Jose Cruz followed next and he lined a single driving in one more runner. Cruz took second on the throw. After an out was recorded, Mark Bailey stepped in and he laced a one-base hit scoring the final run of the inning. Houston finished with 14 hits while Atlanta ended up with 7. 

Ron Mathis(2-2) got credit for the victory, pitching 2 innings and allowing no runs. Dave Smith earned his 13th save. Jeff Dedmon(2-1) was the loser in relief.
