Pedro Guerrero cracked a homer and had 2 RBI at JACK MURPHY STADIUM as the Los Angeles Dodgers beat the San Diego Padres in 16 innings 4 to 3. 

The game was deadlocked at 2 after nine full innings. Finally, Los Angeles prevailed in the 16th inning. After an out was recorded, Mike Marshall clubbed a solo home run. Los Angeles out-hit San Diego for the game, 13 hits to 10. 

Bobby Castillo(2-1) was the winner allowing no runs in 2 innings. Ken Howell earned the save, his 4th. The losing pitcher was Tim Stoddard(1-2) in relief.
