June 27, 1985: Giants (30-41) at Reds (37-34)

Nick Esasky hit a homer and had 2 RBI as the Cincinnati Reds defeated the San Francisco Giants in 11 innings by the score of 5 to 3 at Crosley Field. 

The score was knotted at 3 after nine innings. Cincinnati was victorious in the 11th inning. After an out was recorded, Ron Oester started the rally when he drew a walk. Esasky was next and he bombed a two-run dinger giving Cincinnati the victory as 45,217 happy fans celebrated wildly. Both teams finished the game with 11 hits. 

The win was credited to Ted Power(1-3) who went 1 inning allowing no runs. Frank Williams(2-2) absorbed the loss in relief. Cincinnati now has a record of 37-34. San Francisco has a record of 30-41 after the loss.
