Bob Kearney had 2 base hits and 2 RBI at The Kingdome as the Seattle Mariners beat the Cleveland Indians in 11 innings by the count of 10 to 8. 

Both teams had scored 4 runs after nine full innings. Seattle came out the victor in the 11th inning. The highlight belonged to Phil Bradley who came through for the home fans when he lifted one out of the park for a two run home run. Seattle banged out 13 hits on the night. 

Roy Thomas(1-0) picked up the victory, allowing 2 runs in 1 inning. The losing pitcher was Rich Thompson(0-1) in relief. He surrendered 6 runs and 4 hits in 2/3 of an inning.
